House Speaker Murrell Smith.<\/p>\n<p>Robbins is a former top prosecutor in Dorchester, Orangeburg, and Calhoun counties and has more than 36 years of experience practicing law in South Carolina.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cIt is quite an honor to be appointed by Speaker Smith. I look forward to the task at hand drawing upon my 36 years of legal experience,\u201d Robbins said of the appointment.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Smith tasked the group to create a set of recommendations to the House of Representatives by February 1, 2024 &#8211; and expects them to hold public hearings to listen to all viewpoints.
