Improving Our School Systems

Robby believes a proper education is the best pathway to success in life. In order to provide children with a good education, we have got to do a better job of recruiting and retaining teachers. We need to raise teacher salaries and the monies allocated by the Legislature need to go to the classroom, and not to administrations.

Robby also knows that parents should be making the decisions about schools-not bureaucrats in Columbia or Washington DC. Robby believes schools should focus on learning and not indoctrinating our children with radical theories. We should invest in STEM education, career schools, and employer partnerships so that children have a variety of options to prepare for their future. In doing so, we will make sure that children are adequately prepared for the workforce and will have an opportunity to earn a good living in District 97.

Robby firmly believes that we have got to return discipline to our school system. Principals need to be able to manage their schools and teachers should not fear for their safety in the classroom. We need to pass and enforce laws that promote a safe learning environment.
